Later, while living in White Plains she became a clerk at the White Plains Public Library. This position was perfect because she was an avid reader. She was active in the community and held the position of Secretary for the White Plains Tenant Counsel. A hardworking mother and grandmother, Dena stayed active with her grands and great grands up until her early 90’s. She enjoyed watching game shows. Her favorites included Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud. She volunteered at White Plains Hospital for over 40 years.
Dena, affectionately known as “Dean” to her family and friends will be greatly missed. She touched so many people’s lives with her gentle ways and humble demeanor. She was very sociable and loved to dance. Always keeping things lively while saying “make some noise”!
