CJ - As you continue to hold my hand, as we so often did, I light this candle in loving tribute to the amazing sister/friend you were. I marvel at your strength and although you were suffering, you stuck to your promise to hold on. I know you did it for us and I thank you for all the love you always shared with those you cared about and for being marvelous you!
Your feisty, spunky spirit will sustain my heart and the many years of unforgettable memories we shared will sustain my days. The pure fun and craziness we experienced from childhood to golden years are treasured memories which I will cherish forever.
The endless conversations, the jokes, the vacations, the men, riding around for hours on fifty cents worth of gas, "Wheel the Saab!!!!", the highlights of California living, hours spent on the beaches, our "first" apartment, no furniture, the red light over the door, making curtains out of sheets, me on my knees begging for Tacos, you cutting and dying my hair (and eyeglasses) and me walking around looking like Ronald McDonald for months, us scaring ourselves witless with the Ouija Board, hanging out with the LA Rams, going to all those Lakers games and cheering for the Knicks (even when they weren't playing), Golden Bird Fried Chicken, me always sticking stuff in your dimples, having our children, returning to New York as grownups, the grandchildren, stuffing down bologna sandwiches in the airport so security wouldn't throw them away, screaming and crying while that crazy guy sped our wheelchairs through LaGuardia to catch a plane, the snake that terrorized us in Orlando, room service (never forget the GROUPER) and all that life brought us through......... We have so many memories, I could go on forever and I can say with a BIG smile that we did it all our way with a flair and loads of laughter!!
I saw a peace and glow on your face on Saturday and knew you were going to be okay. Our Lord was coming to take his angel home! I will miss you eternally and ache for you forever. You were one of a kind and I am blessed that you chose me to share in your essence!!! Judy, Cynthia and I will take care of the family and each other for you!
God bless!! Until we meet again, dear heart! I LOVE YOU!!!!!
