Sometimes God picks the flower
that is still in full bloom
Sometimes the rosebud chosen
we feel He’s picked too soon

Sometimes the flower is fading
with petals floating down
But God knows the perfect time
to gather flowers from the ground

Life is but a stopping place
A pause in what's to be
A resting place along the road
to sweet eternity

Our destination is a place
Far greater than we know
For some the journey's quicker
For some the journey's slow

You fell asleep without goodbye
But memories of you will never die
Time may pass and fade away
But memories of you will always stay

A cluster of memories sprinkled with tears
Wishing God had spared you a few more years
Tenderly we treasure the past
With memories that will surely last

Don't think of him as gone away
his journey's just begun
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much
