My dearest cousin Rusty,
Growing up with you was a one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience (especially you bullying the Valley boys to stay away from your little cousin) and I love you dearly. Boy, you had that bullying technique down pat although I ended marrying one of them!!!!!
Talking with you through and witnessing your long suffering illnesses over the years were some of the hardest things I've had to do, but other than that and watching you transition yesterday morning it was almost all good. You were like an extra brother!
I thank God that you knew I was there with you during your last illness and your final hours and hope my love and presence brought you some peace and comfort. Rubbing your face and body to relax and sooth you certainly brought the same peacefulness to me.
Many people didn't "get you" and missed out on the opportunity to enjoy a funny, loving, wonderful but sometimes gruff, sarcastic, no-nonsense man. I'm so glad I lived on your good side and know as well how much you loved and respected me. (LOL)
I will miss our chats and the laughter but I know that your spirit will always be with me. Take care of the family up there and give everyone my undying and unconditional love.
Kisses and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} ..... until we meet again. Rest In Paradise forever, Rusty!
All my love,
Pat
