Our Harlem to Westchester County, Sista!
Whether Myrna was on the Margarita Isle, Caribbean Islands, cruising or encouraging family/ friends to tour Africa, she was always a great team player and a supportive friend you could count on. Myrna truly loved her Family, community and wanted people to have the opportunity to enjoy life with a smile! Folks who observed her could see how much she touched people and extended herself with confidence to the human family which, by the way, included giving her love to animals (dogs/cats).
Hanging with Myrna for over 40 years, I knew, immediately, that she was always inclusive of many different types of people and personalities. Starting and being apart of many organizations, travel/ book clubs, choirs, ed. seminars, talking to the elders, social and political groups, wine and cheese gathering, to Sistas having Lunch, it is clear our Myrna did it all!
We will forever miss our sister’s love, joy, smile and irresistible laughter, but it was time for Myrna to get off the fun train (with her Louie V luggage) and meet up with her Mom, Dad, Debbie and all of her other family members. Knowing Myrna, as I do, she will greet, give hugs to the family and off she’ll go to start another fun group and wait patiently for the rest of us to join her!
So, we say...Gwine gal, continue to spread the fun & love our dear Sista!
