LEGACY OF LIFE

Sister Ione Elaine Grandison of Dayrell's. Road, Christ Church Barbados was born on September 6, 1926, the second child of Delcine Prescod. Due to the untimely death of Delcine, at an early age, Ione was raised by her aunt, Lenora Prescod. Ione was educated at St. Mathias Girls School. Shortly after graduation, she entered the workforce in Barbados. She accepted the Lord while in Barbados at an early age and she became a member of The New Testament Church of God in River Road. While there, she was an avid member of the church. Ione loved to sing, and she joined the church choir as well as attended and graduated from Bible college.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 35 years. The church remained very important to her. She .was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship, The Golden Saints, The Sunday School Ministry, and The Senior Choir. She did many other things with the church. The church was a part of her family. Everywhere the church went Ione was sure to go.
