Obituary for Theodore Jay "Teddy" Lee Jr.

Mr. Theodore Jay Lee, Jr. was born Sept. 1, 1937 in White Plains, NY to the late Theodore J. Lee, Sr. & Mattie R. Anderson Lee. Second Generation Owner of the 107 year old Lee’s Funeral Home in White Plains, he transitioned peacefully in his sleep, to be with the Lord, on Wed. May 4, 2022.

A lifelong resident, Ted belonged to many community organizations - Funeral Directing, Magic, Masonic, & Area Community (including the White Plains Juneteenth Heritage, where He & HIs Wife are being Honored as Grand Marshals of this year's Parade & Festival 6/10) - too numerous to name all. More than anything though, he was known & loved for his kind, gentle manner, honesty & integrity.

His immediate survivors include his wife of 57 years, JoAnne; his daughter, Jennifer and son, TJ; as well as other relatives, and of course his loving extended Lee’s Funeral Home staff Family.

All full correct details, including contribution info in lieu of flowers, are ONLY on Our OFFICIAL Sites at www.LeesFuneralHome.com and/or at www.Facebook.com/LeesFuneralHome

While condolences/acknowledgements & resolutions are truly appreciated, please know they will NOT all be read at services, only acknowledged, so NO 'requests to be read' can be honored. If you would still like for any condolences/acknowledgements & resolutions to possibly be publicly read/acknowledged at the Funeral, please send Directly to Bethel Baptist Church either by fax - 914-949-7706 or by email to churchoffice@bethelbaptistchurchwp.org and/or b.andralliski@verizon.net . If only wanting the family to see/have the condolence/acknowledgements & resolution, & not needing public acknowledgement, then you may simply send directly to Lee's Funeral Home.

ATTENTION: As the highly contagious COVID-19 is still a crisis & concern, we need your help in limiting & controlling the number of people inside the funeral home & church, so please govern yourself accordingly for the health & safety of all. Thank you so kindly!

You MUST come to the funeral home, church & cemetery wearing a mask, & wear a mask inside the funeral home & church, and social distance as much as possible at all times. A Walk-Thru Wake/Visitation/Viewing will be held on Sun., 5/15 from 2:00-7:00PM at Lee's Funeral Home, LLC, with a maximum capacity of 80 people at funeral home at any time; and then again Mon. 5/16 from 4:00-8:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church with limited capacity; with final viewing Tues. 5/17 from 11:00-11:45AM, followed by Funeral Service on Tues. 5/17 at 12:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church. So you may come to the funeral home Sun. and/or church Mon. & Tues. to attend, with your masks on. At the very least you can get hand sanitizer & sign the register book (NOTE: please feel free to bring your own pen). If not at capacity, you will be allowed in, being reminded the visitations/wakes are meant to be Walk-Thru/not seated long, to allow for the most guests to enter/pay respects; but if at capacity by the time you get there, you may be required to leave the premises after signing register book, so as not to be in violation nor cause a health hazard, so please govern yourself accordingly. But BOTH We & the church will be live-streaming the service on our websites the day of the service where it says WATCH WEBCAST, so you're able to view there/here also/instead. Regardless of if you're able to enter/be seated, or not, social distancing MUST be maintained as each place requires, and at the request of the family for their health as well as that of others, PLEASE refrain from touching/hugging/handshaking (preferably just elbow bumping briefly, if at all). If instructed, PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY leave the building & premises if either is at their restricted capacity. PLEASE KINDLY RESPECTFULLY follow & abide by the directions of the funeral home staff and/or church or cemetery personnel at all times. We Thank You in advance for following directions & any policies, so as to make all go smoothly the day of the services, to eliminate further burden on the family, and to maintain the health & safety of All. Any questions, or if any clarity is needed, please call ahead to the funeral home and/or church, and/or speak to us from a safe distance if present.
