Olive was born on July 24, 1938 in Kingston, Jamaica to parents George and Agnes Robinson. She was educated in Jamaica and immigrated to the U.S. as a young woman in the early 1960’s, where she later became a U.S. Citizen. Olive briefly resided in Hawaii after arriving in the states but considered herself a New Yorker, where she later moved. She was a pillar in the communities she resided in, including Freeport, LI, Hopewell Junction, NY and White Plains, NY.
At a young age in Jamaica, Olive became a seamstress and later honed those skills in the U.S, becoming accomplished in that vocation. She was well known for designing and sewing hand-crafted dresses, including wedding gowns.
Olive was a woman of integrity, faith, and was deeply committed to her family. She freely gave of her time and wisdom to family and friends alike and was loved and respected by many.
