Obituary for Karl Bruce "Bucksie" / "Bugsy" Wyatt

Karl Bruce Wyatt
May 26, 1966 – May 28, 2019

Karl Bruce Wyatt, known to many as “Bucksie” or “Bugsy,” entered into eternal rest on May 28, 2019. He was born in White Plains on May 26, 1966 to Leroy and Rose Wyatt. Karl received his education in the White Plains Public Schools and graduated from White Plains High School in 1985 where he was a standout linebacker and fullback for the Tigers.

Immediately after high school, Karl was a Plumber’s Apprentice with White Plains Local 299. He retired from the Westchester County Department of Corrections after twenty-five years of service. Karl was known for his storytelling, laughter, and his love of music, especially classic crooners like Billy Eckstein, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Hartman, and Jack Jones. Karl had a big heart and loved his family and friends.

Karl is survived by both parents; brothers Keith Wyatt (Valencia) of Hopewell Junction, New York and Kenneth Wyatt (Emmy) of Bedford, New Hampshire. Also surviving are two nephews, Jayden and James; two nieces, Caroline and Danica; two godchildren, Kyra Wadden and Joseph Carrier; separated spouse, Orlanda Wyatt; partner, Carlette Mitchell; a host of cousins and many, many friends.
