OBITUARY

Alvera Delores Rolle was born on May 26, 1932 to Deacon Titus Anthony Rolle and Cecilia Lowe Rolle in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was the ninth child of eleven siblings. On a most memorable day, Alvera came to faith in her Lord Jesus Christ at age twelve and remarked that everything was brand new. In 1949 she married Stanley A. Fray. They first moved to the Bronx, NY where they began raising their family, then relocated to White Plains, NY in 1962. In 1958, she and her husband were among the founding members of Shiloh Gospel Chapel, in White Plains, NY. Sister Fray served her fellow believers faithfully as their piano player, Bible teacher, as a member of the Choir, as a counselor, a comforter and a friend. She graciously opened her home to missionaries and Christian Workers traveling, and always had room at her table for more. Alvera worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 1986. She and her husband of nearly 70 years have five children, eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In 2014 she was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. On April 23, 2019, she passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
