Obituary for Freddie "Mickey" Mitchell Jr.

THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF FREDDIE MITCHELL JR.

Freddie Mitchell Jr. affectionately known as Mickey, was born on December 1st, 1951 in Valhalla, New York to the late Freddie Mitchell Sr. and Doris Boyd Mitchell.

He was educated in the Greenburgh school system and graduated from Woodlands High School. After graduating from Woodlands High School, Freddie was accepted by the University of Toledo in Ohio where he earned his Bachelor's degree. Pursuing higher education at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, Freddie earned his Master's degree in Business Administration and Computer Science.

He held employment with such companies as Nextel - Sprint, Texaco Corp. and the Michael Anthony Firm as a micro-computer consultant. His passion was tennis, music, art and politics. If you were looking for Freddie you could find him on the basketball court contending for a good game.

Freddie loved his family, his longtime companion of 27 years (Wife Connie) and they traveled everywhere living life to the fullest. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Connie, mother Doris, Brother Joel, sister-in-law Carla of North Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
