Obituary for Bennie Carl "Tyrone" Foster

Mr. Bennie Carl Foster, better known to his friends and family as “Tyrone” was born on June 16, 1926 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the parents, Margaret Davis and Bennie Foster. Bennie entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, New York.

Bennie received his formal education in the Baton Rouge school district and went on to join the 318th Army Air Force. Completing his tour of duty, he received a decorated Victory ribbon and a certificate award for honest and faithful service to his country. Upon finishing his tour of duty, he went to work at General Motors on the assembly line until his retirement.

He met his beautiful wife, Mae Frances and within their union had five children. He enjoyed interacting with his daughters in sport events and escorting his family to church. He took his role as an Usher and singer in the church choir seriously and was proud to be a part of the Bethel family.

His wife, Mae Frances; three daughters, Toni, Tami, Judy; mother, Margaret; father, Bennie; two sisters, Ida, Beatrice; brother, Charles; Grandson, Eric; Great Grandson, Da’Shawn; niece, Ivy Mae; mother-in-law, Charlie Mae; two sister-in-law, Beatrice, Katie and brother-in-law, Sam, preceded him in death.

Bennie leaves to cherish his memory with his union to Mae Frances, two daughters: June Ward of Winterville, NC & Linda Foster of Mount Vernon, NY; Seven grandchildren: Tyrone, Taylor, Robert, Suni, Jamie, Shenikqua, Tajhina; Eleven Great Grand Children; God Daughter, Patricia; and a host of dear children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
