Obituary for Milton "Bill" Richardson

On July 5, 2018 The Lord called home our loved one, Milton Richardson. Milton was born March 9, 1931 in Warren County, NC to the late Mathew Richardson Jr. and Leolia D. Cheek. He was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and friend.

Milton was drafted and sent to Korea in 1951. When he returned he moved to White Plains, NY, where he met his best friend, Luecelia Wade of Amelia, Virginia. After only dating each other for just 5 months, Milton and Luecelia married in 1953. They stayed married up to the untimely passing of Luecelia in August 2002. Through this loving union, 3 children were born: Diana Jean Richardson (Jean), Janice Lee Richardson (Janice] and Milton Wade Richardson (Richie) enriched their lives.

Milton was a loving, caring no-nonsense man. He was always there when you needed him. Anyone that knew him, knew his heart. Even through his tough exterior, Milton worked as a construction laborer for over 40 years, which as anyone knows was and is not easy work.

Milton's parents Mathew and Leolia Richardson, his brother Leon Richardson, his wife Luecelia Richardson and his daughter Janice Richardson preceded him in death.

He leaves behind to cherish fond memories: Daughter Diana Jean Richardson, son Milton Wade Richardson; grandchildren: Jamey Rollon Epps, Roy Larraine Epps, Eric Daniel Epps, Ashia Patrice Richardson-Epps, Deanna Richardson, Tyrese Wade Richardson and Angel David Rodriguez, as well as 5 great grandchildren. Milton also leaves behind 2 brothers-in-law: Little Thomas Wade of Amelia, VA, and Edward Taylor of Powhatan, VA; 3 sisters-in-law: Florence Wade of Amelia, VA, Lillie Mae Taylor of Powhatan, VA and Blanch Wade of Baltimore MD; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and as well as friends and neighbors that all loved him very much.
