Born in Miragoane, Haiti
At an early age, moved to Port-au-Prince to be with her aunt Catherine.
While in school, developed a passion for “Haute Couture”
She became a seamstress
She met Nerva Laurent in Port-au-Prince and got married in March 1951
From this marriage, 2 sons were born : Lionel and Hugues
She also had an other adopted daughter, Marthe before the births of her sons
Anna also has 4 grand daughters: Shania , Daphney, Schuni and, Mischma and also Wendy and Widberth
As a seamstress, she worked for the prestigious “Salon de Couture” in Port-au-Prince known as Yotte Talui
She also worked for the garment industry in factories in White Plains and Port Chester, NY
She also had her own business in Port-au-Prince
While working for Yotte Taluy, she brought tremendous contributions to her employer’s business and also acquired new skills
She helped raise others in Haiti such as, Sonia, Daniel, Solanges, Elzurta, Elsie, Zette, Tepson, to name a few.
Her house was also welcoming for everyone
As a seamstress, she also taught the trade to others
Her most cherished project was to create an orphanage in Haiti, which never see the light
She was a woman of faith, and knew whatever adverse a situation may be, the Lord will reverse it.
