Obituary for Ellen May White

Ellen M. White was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica on October 10, 1937 to Samuel and Kathleen Clarke. She was the eldest of 12 siblings. She married Neville W. White, Sr. in 1969.

When in Westmoreland, Jamaica, she was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She taught at the Presbyterian Infant School and Sunday School. She also was a member of the choir. Later, she moved to Kingston, Jamaica and became a conductor for the JOS Bus Company.

Ellen later left Jamaica to join her husband in the United States on October 8, 1971. She continued to live a devoted Christian life and became a member of Full Gospel Christian Fellowship Church. She became employed at New York Hospital as a Dietary Pantry Aid until retiring in 2000. She enjoyed writing poems and singing. She was full of laughter and was a kind and loving person. She gave spiritual advice and devoted her life and strength to her family.

Ellen went on to be with the lord on October 4, 2016. She is survived by her husband, Neville W. White, Sr., three sons; Neville W. White, Jr., Neville T. White, Norman F. White; nine siblings; two daughters-in-law, three granddaughters, nieces, nephews, family and friends who will surely miss her.
