Frank Jefferson was born January 26, 1929 to the late Harry Jefferson and Bertha Mack Jefferson in Eutawville, SC. He was brought to White Plains, NY as an infant and educated in the White Plains school system. Frank ran track and played football for White Plains High School. Notably, he was a proud member of the 1964 undefeated football team. Frank married his high school sweetheart, Helen Cheagle and from the marriage begot a son, Frank Jr. The marriage eventually ended in divorce.
Frank Jefferson served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and did a tour of duty in Korea from 1951 through 1952. After his discharge from the Army, Frank married Marjorie Brown Banister, and from that marriage there were four children.
Frank departed this life on May 6, 2016 and was predeceased by his wife Marjorie in May 1983. He is also predeceased by his brothers Nathan and Robert.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Daisy Banister, Frank (Sandra), Eric, Jeffery (Joy), Lisa; his niece Michelle (Jeffery) Brown of East Stroudsburg, PA whom he raised, foster daughter Yvonne Williams, brother Harry Jefferson, Sister Gloria Boykins of White Plains; Grandchildren Keva, Dwana, Chad (Sasha), Jahaad, Latroy, Asia, Brittany, Jaleel, and Sakeenah; Great grandchildren Vaquan, Corbin, Camron, Ryleigh; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Frank Jefferson had a great sense of humor, loved gardening and listening to jazz.
