Obituary for Henrietta Fay Watson (Graham)

Henrietta Fay Graham Watson
June 18, 1964 - October 25, 2019

Born to Lillie Hagan Graham and Henry Graham in White Plains, New York, Henrietta Fay Graham Watson was educated in the White Plains Public Schools. After graduation from White Plains High School in 1981, Fay completed a course of study in the Southern Westchester BOCES Practical Nursing Program. After two years of home health aide experience, she commenced employment at Westchester Medical Center (Valhalla, New York) in 1985. On June 18, 2019, Fay completed her thirty-four year tenure as a Cardiac Catheterization Technologist in the Cath Lab and retired from Westchester Medical Center.

Fay’s early spiritual formation, instilled by her mother, was reinforced at Calvary Baptist Church (White Plains, New York), where she was baptized by Rev. Dr. Lester Cousin and attended Sunday School and Bible Study, as well as received a foundation in music ministry in the Children’s Choir and the Youth Ensemble. Pastor Cousin presided over the wedding ceremony of Fay to Darrell Jeremiah Watson, Sr. on July 7, 1990.

A member of Bethel Baptist Church for the past twenty years, Fay was a disciple of profound faith and belief in God and the power of prayer. Fay evidenced the spiritual gifts of caregiving, healing, and music. She demonstrated these gifts through the ministry of mission in the Bethel Baptist Church Missionary Ministry —specifically as Coordinator for the Junior Missionary Ministry and its outreach to Schnurmacher Nursing Home in White Plains, New York. She also demonstrated a passion for joyful praise and worship in music ministry with the Bethel Baptist Church Mass Choir. Fay was committed to church service in various program capacities. Her lifestyle reflected that she knew in Whom she believed, that He knew her name, and that she would be fine in His divine plan.

Fay is survived by her adored mother, Lillie Graham (White Plains, NY) and son, Darrell Jeremiah Watson, Jr. (White Plains, NY), her former husband, Darrell Jeremiah Watson, Sr. (Brooklyn, NY), sister—Carolyn Williams and husband, Deacon Bennie Lee Williams (Dawson, GA), sister—Ida Stewart (White Plains, NY), nieces—Natasha Fequiere (White Plains, NY) and Imani Stewart (Richmond, VA), grandnephew—Karl Patterson, Jr. (Mt. Vernon, NY), grandnephew—Jackson Fequiere (White Plains, NY), grandniece—Karson Fequiere (White Plains, NY), special friends—Deacon Gertrude Coleman and Tiffany Coleman (White Plains, NY), and a host of extended family and church family members.
