Tyrone "Tai Stixxx" Peterson of Elmsford, New York was born November 6th, 1973 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in North Tarrytown. He passed away suddenly on October 16, 2018 at the age of 44.
He attended the Elmsford School District and later attended SUNY Delhi where he studied auto mechanics. He would later join the barber profession and worked at various locations in Westchester County. Tyrone also provided lawn care services and snow removal for various customers. He was always willing and able to help those when he could.
Watching sports was a favorite pastime of his. He was a super fan of the NY Giants, the Knicks and the Mets. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his daughter, Akasha whom he adored. She was his shining star.
Tyrone was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Seawright, and his maternal grandparents, Alfred and Grace Peterson. He was also preceded in death by close childhood friend & godfather to his daughter, Jasper Irving.
He is survived by his mother, Diane Peterson Cox; daughter Akasha Brianna Nicole Peterson; brothers John and Justin Cox; niece, Jaylee Cox; paternal grandmother Aline (Dolly) Seawright; Uncles Surya Peterson and Barry Seawright; Aunt Charlotte Peterson; cousins: Kyle DeRouseau, Timothy Peterson, Nathaniel, Victor and Simone Johnson; Godmother Linda Hicks; Aunt Beverly Douglas, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will be missed by us all but will remain in our hearts.
