Obituary for Ronald O. "Ronnie" Walker Sr.

Ronald O. Walker, Sr. was born May 13, 1941 to the late Daniel & Jean Walker. He departed this life March 22, 2018.

He was born in Valhalla, NY and raised in the nearby town of Greenburgh. Blessed with a brilliant mind to be a constant thinker, Ron graduated from White Plains High School and furthered his education at Rider College in Trenton, NJ, earning his Bachelors of Arts degree. He then went on to become a Financial Consultant for a number of years.

As a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., initiated into The Delta Eta Chapter in spring of 1963, Ron was also a Charter member of the New Rochelle White Plains Alumni chapter. His love for the fraternity was beyond words and he lived out the credo Phi Nu Pi. He was also a Prince Hall Mason, member of Bright Hope Lodge #62 in White Plains, NY.

As a faithful member of Union Baptist Church, he served on the Ushers Board. He also served as a member of the Westchester Marshals and always greeted everyone with a smile. Ron believed laughter is the key to life and he always conjured up a good joke to tell.

He is survived by his life partner Margaret Tucker; his sons Ronald Jr. (Foots), Duane (Dubs); daughters Jackie, Denise; grandchildren Ronald III (Trey), Grayce, Vernon and Ward, as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Daniel Jr., and Patricia Dingle.
