Obituary for Glenda M. Edwards

Glenda M. Edwards, 63, passed away July 2, 2017 at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, NY. Visitation will be held 5-8pm, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Lee’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11-1pm, Friday, July 7, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Mamaroneck, NY with Pastor Taylor, officiating. Burial will follow at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.

Glenda M. Edwards was born on December 15, 1953 in Amelia County, Virginia to Sue Craft. She attended White Plains High School and later attained her GED. She married the late Archer Edward Granderson in September 1972. Together they raised three children. She later married Deacon Dennis J. Edwards on August 25, 2006 in Mamaroneck, NY. She worked for the City of White Plains - Department of Public Safety for twenty-seven years before retiring in 2005. She served, faithfully, on the Usher board and Missionary Ministry for First Baptist Church in Mamaroneck, NY.

Glenda M. Edwards is survived by her husband, Deacon Dennis J. Edwards; son Curtis Granderson and his children: Jalen Granderson, Aspen Granderson, and Scarlett Granderson; daughter Crystal Granderson-Reid and son-in-law, Kenyatte Reid, and their three daughters:, Sélah Reid, Nala Reid and Bailey Reid; son Courtney Granderson and daughter-in-law, Sherilyn Granderson, and their two children: Caire Granderson and Caila Granderson; along with daughter Lateasha Hughes; her twin sister, Gloria Hull and her sons: Michael Hull and Carlton Hull; stepson, Deon Edwards; god-daughter, Savannah Ray Colucci; siblings, Carmella Jones, Judith Jones, Carl Jones, Ruth Jones and Jennifer Gray, a host of in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and her First Baptist Church family.
