Ninevah Taylor Riley longtime resident of White Plains.
On Friday March 3, 2017 Ninevah was called into eternal rest at The White Plains Hospital Center.
She was born on January 13, 1917 to Alice Bufford Hill and George Taylor in Camden Alabama.
She was raised in White Plains, NY by her grandparents Jake and Ninevah Bufford where she attended the White Plains School system. Ninevah joined Calvary Baptist Church in the late 1950’s. She was a member of The Nurse’s Ministry (Emergency Care), Missionary’s and The Sunday School Class. Ninevah joined the Eastern Star chapter 44 in 1970’s. She was employed by St. Agnes Hospital as a Nurse's Assistant, where she retired in 1977. She was a very loving and caring person, her pride and joy were her 16 grands, 26 great grands, and 8 great great grandchildren with the youngest being 9 months. Ninevah was the oldest of 5 who all predeceased her: John Hill, Rosetta Carter, Mary Emma Butler and Willie B. Hill. She was also predeceased by her husband George Riley; 2 daughters: Alice Williams and Barbara L. Riley; 1 son, William Riley; 3 grandchildren: Barbara Jean Riley, Bruce Wayne Riley and Charles Taylor Jr.; and great grandson Charles Anthony Taylor.
Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memory are 2 children, son Charles (Willie Mae) Taylor Sr. of Macon, Ga and her faithful and loving daughter Brenda (Jerome) Roache of Middletown, NY, and daughter in-law Tracie Riley of Nantucket, Mass.
