Mary A. Royster was born on July 6, 1938, to the Late Sarah and Elias Dungie at White Plains Hospital in White Plains, NY. Mary was a Life Long Resident of the Town of Greenburgh and was educated in the White Plains Public School System. Mary married the Late William Royster, Sr., and together they raised 9 children. Mary united with Bethel Baptist Church more than sixty-five years ago, under the Pastorate of Rev. Thomas H. Slater. Mary sang with many of Bethel's choirs, She was on the Usher Board, Worked with the Senior Ministry and Sunday School Ministry. She also attended the Central Hudson Baptist Association. Mary was a Member of the Rosebud Temple # 297. An Avid Bowler, she was well known and loved in the Community. She was employed for 36 years at the Hawthorne Quality Inn before she retired in 1998.

Step Daughter, Kandi Royster of Greenburgh, NY and Daughter-in-Law, Heike Royster of Germany. A Host of Grand Children, Great Grand Children, Nieces, Nephews and Friends. A longtime Companion, Mr. David (Dennis) Caitlyn of WP, NY. Her Dear Friends, Barbara High, Carole Tolbert, Dorothea Creacy and Joyce Wilson Holland.

Two Sons, William Royster Jr. of Germany, and Joseph Royster, WP NY. Brothers-in-Law, Eugene Sutton of Ossining, NY, Roy Royster of Mount Vernon, NY, James Royster of Greenburgh, NY, LaVon Love of Lithonia GA; Sisters-in-Law, Bertha Mae Boyd, of Greenburgh, NY, Clorine Colter, of Orangeburg, SC, and Lula Mae Royster of Mount Vernon, NY.
