Condolence: Auntie Mavis: It has been over a month, and it is still hard to believe that you are gone; seems like only yesterday , you sang that sweet spiritual " His Eyes Are On The Sparrow," for me when I was sick because I said, "it was my favorite song." Thank you Auntie for loving me through the fear, your goodness will never be forgotten.
Rest In Peace.

Condolence: Dear Family,
I met Mavis at church. From the moment we met we had deep talks, laughed and prayed together. We exchanged life stories. She was a wonderful friend. She had a beautiful smile, a kind and honest spirit. She is missed. May God be with you during this time of sorrow and always.

Condolence: Aunty Mavis, I miss you already. I am deeply saddened by the loss of you and I can't even begin to gather all of my feelings when I think of remembering your presence then hearing of your passing. I will always remember you. I enjoy meeting new people and most of all I cherish their influence when my heart and mind tells me "this person feels just like family". I was thankful for the talks you had with me and how nonjudgmental you were. Even when you seemed a bit much and I needed a break, there were many times where I would sit and think of how I really cared for you. I wish to hear more stories of your life experiences and to pass on your wisdom some more.
To the family of Aunty Mavis aka M&M, please accept my deepest condolences. Know that your family member was a good person and will truly be missed. I pray that our Father above will give you an abundance of peace while you endure this trying time. Also know that Aunty Mavis acquired a great family here in New York and that she was dearly loved as well. I am so thankful that I was given the opportunity to have met Aunty Mavis and to interact with each other in the capacity we did. Although I am sad, I am encouraged knowing that we shall meet again, by God's grace. Please, rejoice in remembering the good memories. Rejoice, with the hope of seeing her again. "Don't sweat the small stuff", as Aunty Mavis would always tell me. I would have loved to meet you all but unfortunately my work schedule does not allow for me to attend. Take care, I pray for safe travels, and God bless.
Sincerely with love,
Leonora, Jamal, and Joshua

Condolence: Dear Mavis:I only knew you for a short time,as a neighbor and as someone who was always coming and going. We'd meet on a bus or bus stop, a store, or just walking in town. It didn't take long for your friendliness and intelligence to come out.We shared lots of ideas and thoughts. Your love of God and his precepts, I always came away with a good feeling. In the past few months I have watched for you even glancing up at your window on the top floor. Now I know you've gone home to our Father. I'm sure the many people who crossed your path ,bus drivers & riders alike will remember you. You didn't let things get in your way you did what had to be done.putting one foot in front of the other ".The cross before you the world behind you no turning back,no turning back" Rest in Peace Your God has brought uou home

Condolence From: Adrian Alvaranga
Condolence: We give thanks for the blessings of God who gave us Sis Mavis for a season. A time in which she touched our lives with her smile, her warmth and her diligent service. We give thanks for a life wrapped up in Christ on which the enemy has lost the battle forever. I am reminded that though we weep, we are not to sorrow as those without hope. Be blessed by the words of Paul taken from 1 Thess 4:13-18:

13  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. note

16  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
