Robert Blair was born September 4, 1936, in Sheldon, SC to Marion & Tamer Blair. Robert received his formal education in Sheldon, South Carolina. He ventured out on his own to Florida, Ohio and finally settled in White Plains, New York where he met the love of his life Louise Hall. Robert was employed by the City of White Plains for 38 years, retiring in 1999. After retirement he started a painting business with Deacon Benjamin Latimer and they were well known throughout Westchester County for their painting expertise.

Bro. Blair joined Bethel Baptist Church on April 17, 1960 where he became a faithful and dedicated member serving in the following capacities: Trustee Ministry, Male Chorus, Senior Usher Ministry and Patron for the Junior Ushers. Bro. Blair was a great cook and he used his gift unselfishly to serve the church when needed, especially for the Senior Ushers Easter Breakfast!
